CTX-55 Solid Descaler for Sand Filters

When the backwashing of the filter is insufficient to remove all the retained particles, the filter bed may break and, as a consequence, the filtering capacity may be lost. The application of this product helps to avoid such a collapse.

Advice for use:

Periodic cleaning of the filter. Introduce 0.5 kg of CTX-55 inside the pre-filter of the pump or in the skimmer, place the selector valve in filtration position and start the filter for a short period of time, just enough to allow the dissolved product to reach the inside of the filter. Then stop the filter and let the CTX-55 act for approximately 1 hour and then carry out an intense backwashing.

Annual cleaning of the filter. The cleaning is carried out:

• Completely empty the water inside the filter.
• Open the filter at the top and pour a 10% solution of CTX-55 (1 kg of product for every 10 liters of water), making sure that this solution covers the filter load.
• Leave the product to react for approximately 8 hours.
• Close the filter and then carry out an intense washing.

Indicative doses that can be modified according to the specific characteristics of each pool, climatology, etc.
