AstralPool Chlorine Stabilizer

AstralPool chlorine stabilizer that prolongs the action of chlorine in the pool.

It prevents the rapid destruction of non-stabilized chlorine caused by the sun's ultraviolet rays, prolonging its disinfectant action in pool water.

Properties

• Appearance: Powdered solid
• Color: White
• pH (0,2%): 4,5 - 5
• Contents: Cyanuric acid

Example:

1. If we have a swimming pool whose water duly chlorinated with sodium hypochlorite (liquid chlorine, bleach) is subjected to strong solar incidence and Chlorine Stabilizer is not added, it can be verified after 3 hours, how in this water there has been a loss of 90% in the total available chlorine.
2. If 4 kg of Chlorine Stabilizer is added to the same water per 100 m3, it can be verified after 3 hours, how in this case the loss has only been 30% of the total available chlorine.

Dosage

200 g of Chlorine Stabilizer per 10 m3 of water will increase the concentration of cyanuric acid by approximately 20 ppm.

Instructions for use

Keeping the filtration equipment running, introduce the necessary dose inside the skimmers or pump pre-filter.

Recommendations

• Maintain in the water an amount between 30-75 ppm of Chlorine Stabilizer.
• The concentration of Chlorine Stabilizer should not be higher than 75 ppm.
• We recommend looking at national or regional standards.
• If the concentration of 75 ppm is exceeded, part of the pool water should be emptied and replaced with new water that does not contain Chlorine Stabilizer.
• Too high a concentration will impair the effectiveness of the disinfectant.
• Regularly control the level of cyanuric acid (by means of a photometer).

Attention: Do not mix with other products, dangerous gases (chlorine) may be released.

Prolonged contact of chlorinated products on liner, vinyl, polyester or paint surfaces should be avoided due to danger of discoloration.
